It's Time For......

......Snow falling, warm coats, Christmas trees, bulky gloves, pink noses, Christmas shopping (If you didn't get it all done today), hot chocolate, Bell ringers in front of Walmart, Christmas lights on houses (If you haven't seen the house in West Haven that has a light show with music every night, I HIGHLY recommend it for all ages), walking around Temple Square with your sweetheart (count me in this year WOO WOO!), wrapping paper, ornaments, seeing your breath in the crisp air, name drawings, candy canes, neighbor gifts, family gatherings, ward parties, Santa Clause, snow globes, love, and never forget the reason for the season.... Our Savior Jesus Christ!!

I am so excited it's finally here!! Are you?
Hope you all catch the Christmas fever SOON and spread the good cheer!! Happy Holidays!!! :)

I am so Thankful!!

I'm sure there will be many bloggers who post about what they are thankful in the next day or two and I am going to jump on the band wagon. It just wouldn't feel right if I didn't take the time to thank my Heavenly Father for all, or at least some of my blessings. I'm sure I could go on and on because I have such a wonderful life and I probably take that for granted way too often.

I am so grateful for the knowledge and faith that I have in the religion that I believe in. It has brought me so much happiness, peace, and comfort in my life. I believe that is the main focus of our church and the main goal of our Heavenly Father.......to find Happiness, Peace, and Comfort in this life that we are living. I am so Thankful for the testimony that I have and the things I have been taught all my life.

I don't know where I would be without my sweet family. I am so thankful for every single person!! Each one I love so much and each individual has so much to offer. We live a crazy life, but we are strong together. I have ALWAYS felt stability with my family and I know that is something not everyone can say. My parents have been my constant guidance. I am not perfect by ay means, but I wouldn't be who I am today if I didn't have them around to push me in the right direction. My siblings are my closest friends. I remember my dad telling me that my sisters would be my very best friends and I thought he was crazy, but he was exactly right!!

I am so thankful for Elder Carter Musgrave. This sweet kid has been my very closest, truest, dearest friend for a lot of years now. How very very thankful I am that he has been apart of my life. He has had a huge influence on who I am as well. His optimism and willingness to do what's right rubs off on people. He is like a people magnet, truly, and it's because he really cares for everyone. He has sacrificed a lot by serving a full time mission in Africa. I had NO CLUE what I was in for when he accepted the call to serve, but I now have a deeper appreciation for those boys who wear white shirts and black tags. These past 2 years my faith has grown more than it has my entire life. I am so thankful that Carter understands the importance of hard work and sacrifice for the Lord. Serving a mission was the best thing he could have ever done for our relationship. I am so thankful for the relationship we have been able to develop these past 2 years. It just keeps getting better and better. I feel very lucky to have him as my Best Friend.

I am thankful for so many people who have helped me in my life. I probably shouldn't name cause I might forget someone, but Sherry and Jess, Carter's family, Liese, they have always been the ones who are there when it feels like no one else really cares and I'm thankful that I have always felt like I had someone to lean on, different people for different experiences in my life. I am so thankful for my health, for the conveniences that we have today (cars, cell phones, Internet). I thankful for my dad always being able to provide a living for our family so we always have had food to eat and a comfortable place to live. I'm grateful for my job and the great people that I work with. I'm so so thankful that I was given the opportunity to go to college and get a degree.

I have a lot to be thankful for these are just a few. I hope that each of you will have the opportunity today to sit down and be reminded of the many things we all have to be thankful for. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

3 Weeks And Counting!

This week (Wednesday to be exact)marks 3 weeks until Carter arrives!! Can I get a Woohoo?? Thanks!! I know that this doesn't seem like very long to all of you, but to me, it feels like the closer it gets, the slower the time seems to drag by!! I'm trying to be as positive as I can and get even more excited. I have been trying to think of positive things about the number 3. I thought it would be fun to get some help from all of you optimistic people out there!! If you have a second......send me your positive vibes about the number 3. Anything that has to do with the number 3 that has benefited you in some way........ 3 kids, number 3 as your jersey number, 3 teeth pulled instead of 4, anything you can think of! :)

Twins Together, Friends Forever

Sunday night me and my sister Chandler (AKA Roo) were trying to think of something fun we could do this week. I told her that I would take her and my brother Chance to lunch. It sounds pretty simple, but I seriously was SO excited to go for the 2 days I had to wait. You are probably thinking "You need to get a life then!" I probably do need to get a life, but if you knew my twin brother and sister, you would understand!

Their whole lives Dan and I have always teased them that they are each only half a person since they are twins. It's always the joke at our house, whenever we do a family vote, we tell them there's only counts as a half, and for the sibling Christmas name draw, we tease them that whoever has their names only has to spend half the amount of money, since they are only half a person. It's pretty funny, we seem to always find funny things that go along with the half a person joke and they are good sports, they always laugh right along with us.

Even though it's fun to tease them, and I really do think they are the half that makes each other whole, I most defiantly think that they do deserve some full credit for each of their sweet lives. Chandler is my VERY VERY VERY best friend in the whole world!! She is so hilarious! The thing that makes her funny is that she really doesn't try to be funny! We are always rolling at her wittiness. Chance is my 2nd best friend in the whole world. He is the sweetest boy anyone will ever meet!! Really, whoever he marries will never be disappointed. He would do anything for anyone and is always concerned about everyone else's needs. While Chandler is the comedian, Chance is the giggler. He has the funniest giggle and once he starts, it never ends. (I have to admit, sometimes I just want to punch his lights out, ha ha.) When you get the 2 of them together, it's like you are in a comedy club and you don't want to leave. By the time you do, you have a 6 pack from laughing so hard, I love it!

I truly believe that the Lord sent them to our family TOGETHER for a reason. Even though they really aren't each half a person, I believe they share the same heart strings. You always hope that the people you love will always have good friends and good people who will influence there life in a way that will bring them happiness. All my life, I have always found comfort in knowing that the twins have each other. This world is a crazy place, but those 2 really do stand their ground and live up to a high standard. The best part about it is that they do it cause they want to and because they know what is right. I honestly don't worry about them because I know they are examples to all they associate with. They are so cute!! I love them both with all of my heart and am so grateful for their friendship and example to me.

The African Ways!

I wanted everyone to have the privilege of seeing first hand what life is like in Africa. Carter sent this picture home last week. Him and his companion REALLY wanted to start lifting again. There is no such thing as a weight set in Africa, so they decided to improvise!(something he has gotten VERY good at these past 2 years.) They found an Axel from a tire and laid back a lawn chair with a towel over it for a bench press. Creative? I think so!

A New Day Has Come!!

As I drove through town today, I realized I needed to fill up on gas. You know that sickish feeling that comes with this realization? I girded up my loins, knowing there was no other option but to turn into the gas station.
As I looked up at the big tall sign to see how much it was gonna cost me, it was like the heavens were opened and my sickish feeling turned into celebration. I seriously could have cried I was so grateful! Gas is now below $2.00, it hasn't been this low since...........I can't even remember. I'm pretty sure this is the lowest it's ever been since I've been in the gas buying business. I was so happy with this new finding that I was actually thrilled to death to pump my gas. It only cost $19.51 (I can never stop right on the even dollar or 50 cent mark, I'm always a penny or 2 over) to fill my car to the top!! :) How long do we think it'll stay this low?

Weekend in Park Valley.... Round 2

For any of you who have been following my blog for the past few months, I posted a while back about my cutest friend Megan. I made a trip out to see her in August and since we had SO much fun, I would be crazy not to go back for more, right? Well, this time I had to drive all by myself. Let me tell you people that this is not the most scenic route I've ever driven. In fact, it might be the least scenic of any route I've ever driven in my entire life!! Theses pictures are a little taste of my lonely 2 hour drive.

Once I got there and we got the party started, the drive didn't seem so bad. (Till I had to drive it home.) I was so so so excited to see Meg and her DARLING house. The goal of the trip was to tie and sew a quilt I had been wanting to do, and that my friends is exactly what we did. This was both of our first attempt at quiting without our mom's so it was just a TINY bit interesting. It only took us 3 hours to set up the quilting frames and decide how the heck we were going sew the edges and all that fun stuff that comes with putting a quilt together.

We did SO good and worked out fingers to the bone quitling ALL day. By the time we were done tieing the dang thing, we were withering away with starvation. (Well meg was withering away, I was just ready to eat my own arm off I was so hungery.) We decided that it would be the perfect ending to the day to take a little drive over to Wendover since it is only an hour and a half away from her house.
We jumped in the truck and took off. Little did we know, the fun had just begun. We ate at the ALL YOU CAN EAT SEAFOOD BUFFET and Megan experienced her first slot machine. It was a riot!! We had a lot of fun!
I didn't want to leave, but I'll be back soon for round 3 I'm sure!! Love ya Meg! Thanks for letting me come hang out for the weekend! You're the best!

Crazy 8 Tag!

I was tagged by: Cousin Chell

8 Obsessions right now....
1. Blogging, Blogging, Blogging, and checking all of your blogs every chance I get.

2. Studying for Boards......not a fun obsession let me tell ya. (This is more of a burden, but it takes up most of my spare time, so I guess right now it's considered an obsession.)

3. Checking my email. Yes, I am pretty much a freak when it comes to my email. For 2 years I have been able to email Carter on Sunday nights and I get one from him on Monday mornings. Well for 2 years, I have checked my email NON-STOP hoping with every ounce of my being that there would be a random email from him somehow, someday. Well for 2 years, I have NEVER once received an email that wasn't on a Monday morning, but still I continue this ridiculous obsession with sincere hope that one of these days there will be a surprise email. Ha ha, dream on sista!!

4. Counting down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds till Carter steps foot off the airplane. I hate this obsession to be honest. The past weeks have gone by ever so slow because I constantly am thinking about how much time is left. I have several countdowns. I have the standard sticker chart that I have kept up on faithfully since the day he left, my countdown on my blog (in case anyone else wants to know exactly how long he has left.), and I have sticky notes all over my bedroom door with the dates that he has left. Every night, I take one down. 30 left folks, 30 days!!!

5. Thinking of things I can do on the weekends that will make the time go by faster. I have to say I'm doing pretty good at keeping my life occupied with things to do. 2 weekends ago I got to go to Park City with Cart's fam, this weekend I went to Park Valley to see my cute friend Meg(pictures to come), next weekend I'm heading to Idaho for the Merrill Thanksgiving, and the next weekend is Thanksgiving and Black Friday. All fun things to look forward to!!

6. Thinking of Christmas things to buy, eat, give, decorate with, sing, dream, you name it, I want to do anything to do with Christmas!! I know it's early, but isn't that the fun of Christmas? It's a season, really....not just a one day holiday. All you Ba humbugs out there, turn on the Christmas music that is already playing, get out our Christmas lights and start putting them up before it snows and then you have an excuse not to put them up at all.

7. Thinking of fun ideas for my sister's room. She has been wanting to re-do the room for a while now, so me and my mom are going to surprise her for Christmas with all of the things she could ever dream of (Within our budget) to decorate her room the way she has been wanting to....Bedspread, pillows, sheets, paint for the walls, fun accessories... it's gonna be the funnest surprise ever. She has no idea. And I hope she doesn't know how to read my blog or that would really suck!!

8. I can't believe I haven't blogged about this yet, but my mom, dad, and I are all attending boot camp at the Ogden Athletic Club. Yep, BOOT CAMP!!! It's definitely become an obsession. Once you get on a high from working out, it's hard not to want to be at the gym every day. Unfortunately eating healthy isn't one of my obsessions and so sadly, they kinda balance each other out. That's probably why none of you have noticed any physical change that would inquire you to ask me just what it is that I am doing to make such a difference. Ha ha, I eat like crap, therefore I am having a hard time noticing a huge difference in my body. But there are many stories to go along with boot camp that I need to post about. I will try to remember.

8 Words or phrases I use often.......
1. I miss Carter!!
2. Oh my HECK!!
3. Are you kidding me!?!
4. I'm so excited!
5. What are we doing? (This is pretty much what I say at boot camp every day! Every one there probably wants to ring my neck cause I never have a clue what the heck I'm supposed to be doing.)
6. What should we eat?
7. Bye guys, Love ya!
8. Keep the Faith

8 things I want to do before I die......
Oh, this is a fun one!!
1. Pass boards
2. Get married in the Temple
3. Have kids
4. Go to Africa on a service mission, or with a medical service mission
5. Sky Dive (I've been antsy to go, but I told Carter I'd wait till he got home so we could go together.)
6. Get a tattoo on one of my back teeth. Me and my sister are going to get pictures of each other. I'm serious, we've always wanted to. It's not really a tattoo, it's just a picture thing they put on your tooth. Cool huh?
7. Raise good kids who work hard and love the Lord
8. Live a good life

8 things I want or need right now
1. A boy named Carter
2. A PASS on my Boards
3. A massage
4. A pedicure (I know, I'm so materialistic, but it asks what I want.)
5. A raise
6. Snow on the grounds, Christmas lights glowing on houses
7. A little green in my pocket
8. The date to be Dec 17th and the time to be 7:16 PM

8 people I tag......
1. You
2. You
3. You
4. You
5. You
6. You
7. You
8. And yes, You too!!

Tag, I'm it!

I was tagged by Dawn

Here are the rules:

1. Go to your pictures.
2. Upload the 4th picture from the 4th folder
3. Post (explain?)
4. Tag your friends

This picture might not seem exciting to you all, but to me this was a great day! Carter sent me a surprise package home with some ladies that went on a service mission to where he was serving in Africa. When the women came home, they called me up and within 10 minutes I was at their house. I'd never met the ladies before but they were so sweet! This is a picture one of them took of me as I was opening the package. It was full of fun things! One of the treaures was a blue soccer jersey, so the theme of his package was "Out of the Blue." Most of the things were in fact blue. Not only is he sweet but creative too! :)

I tag Lacey, Megan (maybe this will light the fire under your butt to update your blog! Ha Ha), Krishel, Katee, Bre, Jessika, and Janessa.
Is that too many? Too bad!! :)

HAVE FUN!!!

Showered With Fun

Caprilee Rose is due Jan 2, 2009. Saturday was Liese's shower for the baby girl that we are all so anxious to meet. We played fun games (which I dominated) and ate a yummy lunch (which I inhaled). There was lots of sweet little girl gifts. My favorite was the little sleeper that says "I Love My Auntie". My little sister Conlee picked it out, but I told her that I get to hold the baby when we take the first picture of her wearing it! She wasn't too thrilled with the idea. (Sorry, that's the benefit of being the oldest, for once!) A lot of friends showed up and we had a lot of fun!

Can't wait to meet you Capri!! I Love You Already!!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!

I swear, ever year I think to myself "This year, I don't think I'll dress up. I'll just hand out Candy at the Trunk or Treat." Well, that never works out for me and it seems that I'm always scrounging for a costume the day before. (If not hours before!) This year for Halloween, Jess, Amber, Caysie, Bri, and I decided to dress up and head down to the Howl at Utah State for a girls night. For some reason.........we decided we'd be 70's/80's workout girls. We found these disgusting leotards and tight. Then we went and bought the leg warmers (which are so dang cute I think).

It came down to the last hour to get ready and I had a big task ahead of me........doing my hair(P.S. My SHORT hair)to look like a 70's or 80's do. I tried everything I could think of, which wasn't much. I attempted the side pony, but that was out because all of my hair wouldn't stay up in the dang thing. So my only other idea was to try curlers. Right as I started putting curlers in, my mom walked in, "No No No No! Are you kidding me? We didn't do our hair like that." is what she tells me. Then BAM, all of a sudden, my mom becomes someone I've never met before, gets all giddy and goes to work. I must say, she definately knows how to get the 80's do going on. The cherry on top was the BLUE eyeshadow. By the end, we were both laughing hysterically. All the girls looked so cute! They are so fun! It was a riot!!
